Cobactan LA7.5%

Q: Against which pathogens is Cobactan effective?
A: Cobactan has a broad spectrum of activity with proven efficacy in the treatment of:

  • Mastitis – E. coli and other major pathogens
  • Bovine Pneumonia - Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni
  • Septicaemia in calves – E. coli
  • Digital dermatitis, infectious bulbar necrosis and acute interdigital necrobacillosis

Q: What is the dosage regimen for Cobactan LA7.5%?
A: Two subcutaneous injections of 2.5 mg Cefquinome / kg bodyweight (equivalent to 1 ml/30 kg bodyweight) with a 48 hour interval.

Q: What is the withdrawal period for meat and milk?
A:

  • Meat - The withdrawal period for meat is 13 days.
  • Milk - Cobactan LA7.5% is not for use in lactating cows (milk for human consumption).
